from what i gather its vtec solinoid malfunction. well im wondering cause if i hit power to the solinoid straight from battery it opens. ive heard you can control vtec through ectune and bypass the ecu how do i do this. my ecu is a ebay po6 with vtec added so im guessing the vtec adding kit probably sucks. i double checked all wires thet are all hooked up right. or can i just pull power to reset ecu see if that fixes it. next step is to use the old shift light rig. thanks

put a test light on the VTEC line out of the ECU... see if it blinks when it activates... if this is the case, check for correct oil pressure at the solenoid... I would bet it is low.
