ectune crash

I have been having a problem with my computer freezing up while running ectune. It only happens while data logging, and dosen't seem to happen at any particular time or with any particular event (other than while data logging. It dosen't happen every time I data log, but it has happens quite frequently, which is pretty annoying. This is the only program that has ever made my computer freeze. I have a hp dv 6500 with vista. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anything I can do about this?

the whole computer crashes? what kind of computer? how much RAM does it have? processor speed?

which datalogging cable do you have?

I have the hulog. I also have a problem getting ectune to connect to it sometimes. I have a hp pavilion with 2046mb ram and a intel duo 2.0 possessor.

which ftdi drivers?

I searched for ftdi and found a file ftdibus.sys, it says its version 2.4.14.0 in properties.

werd. do a FTDI clean and then reinstall latest from their site/
