i set up autosave to record my logs and it is recording when it is suppose to be but when i open my save file and try to play back the log the file is there but nothing to play. do i have somthing set up wrong? i made a file folder called log files to save them in and it shows that there are files there but there is nothing on them.

Use conditions, and make sure they are set right.

thats what i am saying. it is set right and it says its recording, and autosave is on, but when i open one of those files there is nothing there. make sure its set right is rather vague dont you think? are there any other settings for recording?

Try recording something and saving it manually. Datalog, press record button, wait a while to get data, stop recording, then save the recording. Now open that file you just saved. This way we can see if basic recording works for you.

ok i tryed that and nothing. it says its recording and i saved the file. i logged for about 6 minuets and looked at the propertys of the file and it says the file is 1.34mb, and i play it back and it says its playing but nothing is happening

Are you using ectune pro with ostrich?

Yes, I'm useing the ostrich 2.0, and the extream hulog, I can view all my data but won't record

What are your conditions you have set? Post your cal file

rpm is set for 3000, and tps at 25%. it says it is recording but when i try to play back the log nothing happens. i really want to get this working so i don't have to have someone else drive while i tune, im weird about letting other people driving my car. thanx so much for your help

can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing after you try and load the datalog?

for some reason my print screen button isn't working, but ill tell you what is happening. i open a log file and it says at the bottom of the screen on the info bar (data logging: playing)in the color blue but nothing is playing, all of the controls for play back i.e fast forward, play, and even the scroll bar are all grayed out that if have no control over them. i don't know what the deal is, do i have the sample rate set wrong? i didn't adjust it. baud is 38400, sample rate is at 7, the check box for use priority in log file recording is unchecked, should it be checked? isr settings are, time out 100, retry s 5. those are the settings for data logging comm. thanx for the help

press control + g and see if anything is happening in the graphs

nothing. that's another thing, i haven't been able the get the graphs to work, are the graphs for real time or just playback? but no that didn't do anything either. how do i get with Calvin about this? shouldn't he know whats going on? im not saying you don't, and i greatly appreciate the help but im stuck.

they are not live graphs. They are only for playback on datalogs. you can contact calvin by sending him an email or private message.

i sent Calvin a pm, but in the meantime do you have any other ideas? are my data log com setting correct? should the use priority in log file recording box be checked? does it have to be saved in a certin type of file or format, i know it has its own file type (.elf) thanx again
