rpm duty comp not working and some questions about ebc??????

ok, i have set up boost by gear, enabled and tweaked closed loop compensation, and tried tweaking the RPM duty compensation maps, but the RPM duty comp doesn't seem to work. so it isn't on fixed duty any more, so do i have to have it set on boost by RPM for the RPM duty compensation to work? i thought the duty compensation tables were for general compensations like the IAT compensation, or does the closed loop MIN/MAX settings have to do with that? i.e. in order for the RPM duty compensation tables to work, it has to be in the closed loop MIN/MAX adjustment range? i.e. if i only have 4% to -4% adjustment on the closed loop settings and i am trying to pull -10% at 7000RPM to compensate for boost creep, closed loop correction is only going to allow that + or - 4%? sorry guys, i am just trying to get a better understanding of how the closed loop and duty compensation tables are suppose to work and how to set them up. and one other thing, what is the target boost TPS multiplier do and how to set it up, i think i read that you can set it so that your target at 100% TPS is 10PSI and 50% TPS would be 5PSI. is that correct?

things i am trying to figure out, how they work, and how i am suppose to set them up? does RPM duty compensation work by its self or does closed loop compensation have to be enabled and set properly with enough range in the duty adjustment to achieve the -10% duty i am trying to pull at 55k to 75k RPM to compensate for creep?

RPM compensation will work with boost by gear, or at least it should. I've never gotten mine to work right with closed loop, secondary lean protection is still not fixed, the high/low boost switch function is goofy now, and every update seems the software gets worse...

i agree, i agree!!!! i just got it working but with out closed loop. so there has to be a bug with closed loop, it adds duty cycle to comp for under shoot, but when it over shoots it just keeps going to boost cut. so the hell with closed loop. it sure would be nice if all the features that are advertised actually worked. i hate false advertisement.

guys the last updates release(3 months) is only expire date change. so that it gets worst is in your head. I'll check rpm comp but when doing the boost controller routine i know it works. just check the routine if closeloop and iat works then rpm MUST work. So tell me if those two work

Compensations(iat/closeloop/rpm) will only work if target by gear or rpm is selected

i have boost by gear working but when i enable closed loop it goes haywire. rpm comp works great but closed loop like counteracts it, i have rpm comp pulling duty for higher rpm comping for creep and i have it tuned in preety well but i couldnt get the closed loop to work right. it adds duty to get boost up but doesnt back it back off once i hit the target, it keeps going and overshoots. i dont have my laptop with me, i forgot it at work, so when i get a chance i will post a log for ya. thanks calvin
