Help demon not licensed?

Post by buntinboy9 »

Hey my computer crashed a while ago and now I am having problems. I can hook up to my demon but every time I do it says that the license number that I have is not validated through eCtune... and dumbass me accidently reset my map on the demon so the car is INOP and its my only mode of transportation... I NEED HELP. It just keeps saying that the license isnt true. I bought the program through xenocron if that helps and still have my original serial number... please help! kinda frantic right now!

Easiest is to dig through your old emails for your serial code given to you to enter in ectune; for future u should have it written down somewhere... Because with te deamon there is no license.XML to use ;) It's alot easier than having to go through the re-register process for an ostrich.

but see thats the problem I do have it wrote down (printed recite from xenocron with it on there) and when I enter it it says that it is not registered with the vendor ectune, like I don't have a license with it. Is there a step that I forgot to enter into ectune that I need to have a piece of information to run it? I did have to re-install windows on my computer but I dont see how thats hurting me right now.

In the emulator menu, choose emulator/ostrich info. Set ectune as the vendor. It should work after. If your serial is all 'f' s then you need new licensing, but this should not be the case.

talked to Chris Harris and he was able to help me correct it. For future reference to the topic make sure you download eCtune from the person or store that you bought it from. I downloaded the eCtune from the website and not from the one Chris gave me (bought through xenocron) This was my problem and thanks Calvin for helping me out as well!!!
