o2 short and long trim???????

Hi, just wondering if there is a way to disable or to zero out both o2 short and long trims. I have my car running closeloop at idle. When o2 trims are close to zero, the car idles fine, but as soon as I turn the car off and the restart it, the car presists to idle real rich, also, when restarting the car, for some reason o2 trims seem to stay in between 6 to 8(both), and not change at all. Any tips from the pro's???????????????????????Thanks.
