so whats going to happen as far as unwanted piracy and security, keeping eCtune only for the paying customer!

Its a give and take. Its more benifitial to have a program that hassle free. The reality of it is that if a person is going to pirate somthing, most likly he/she would have never bought it in the first place so theres really no loss there.
