I had the same problem with AEM widebands, but the old style anyways. And by old style, I'm refering to widebands reading from 11.0 to 17.0 afr. The new style widebands, which read 10.0 to 18.0 seem to be fairly accurate. Or maybe I just got lucky with mine.....

Would the lc-1 be a better route? Does serial logging work with it?

I like my lc1, but it is touchy with hot exhaust, and overly rich conditions (code 8 anyone?). Also; the analog outs are unprotected, one small graze to ground and poof, dac is fried. Constant free air calibration makes it very reliable, but is annoying to do.

all i did was plug it in the usb port, go to wideband under settings in ectune, enable serial wideband, then select the port you got it pluged up to. you probly got a problem with the setting in device manager on your PC.

Device manager is correctly initiated and streaming, Prior to connecting via EcTune I validate serial connection/stream packet read success condition via HyperTerminal as AEM specificiations list. I wonder if there is a problem with my RS232 connection. On hyperterminal the process initiates exactly as AEM's documentation says with readable AFR's but then shortly after I get unreadable byte code echoing to the hyperterminal window. Can you confirm what your hyperterminal connection looks like after UEGO warm up? Does it remain human readable?
