Question about ebc

I've noticed when changing from normally closed to normally open my car seems to build boost a lot quicker. Is there any advantage running the ebc normally closed over normally open?

Yes. There are two types of solenoids, ones that stay normally open, and others that normally stay closed. If you reverse the values your ebc duty table is effectively reversed. So in short, it is not a good idea to run a NO ebc on a NC setting with NO values set up, as it will think high boost is low and whatnot.

I know the settings are reversed. My question was referring to building boost faster. It seems that normally closed with fast spool set to 100% build boost slower then normally open with 100% fast spool.

Yes but what happens when NC fast spool is set to 0% ? Can you see whats happening ?

It takes longer to build boost. I tested it out on the dyno. I don't have copy's of the graphs but it was a nice difference.

Strange... Just use what ever works best.
