will reformat require new license request?

If I back up my license will a reformat work again or require a new license request? I already replaced my hard drive once and had to get a new license. I'm hoping to get away without one for this. If I have to I'll probably just remove programs and delete files to try and fix up this old laptop instead of reformatting if it won't work.

Yes; if you keep the same hardware your good to go.
