i just ordered eCtune, trouble getting it installed

i emailed xenocron a couple times but no answer yet. so im going through the install process that xenocron sent me. i had to download some program to even extract the .rar(or something like that) files. so i connect the ostrich and install ostrich drivers, open extract ectune and install. go to open it and tells me to force upgrade via the start menu. i do so and it just keeps repeating this step. it pops up a little black box and then a smaller white one that shows the progress. says \"eCtune is updated to 0.0.2.3r17\" then to click any key to continue and the boxs disappear. at this point double click ectune icon on desktop and it tells me i need to force restart. i've tried restarting, idk what else to do
