Full Throttle Shift

It seems as if FTS dosen´t react fast enough. My log clearly shows the clutch input changes, but FTS takes a little time to engage - and then a little time as well to disengage again. On my slow-ass ZC1 it is almost tolerable, but those with fast revving Vtec engines might not be so excited. By comparison - back in the TE days, I did a test on a 512 ROM with two identical programs in them except for one (1!) bit in the rev limiter. Clutch switch changed between the two, and the engine´s reaction was INSTANT. I don´t get this in eCtune and the log clearly shows it.. CAL+log here:

try using ignition cut instead of fuel cut.. Or ignition+ fuel cut.. it reacts much faster.

True, and I'm wondering why. IGN cut is a lot faster for FTL.

Thanks, I´ll do some garage tests tomorrow and see if I can detect any differences. /Allan

its always better to use ign cut or both. If you only use fuel cut, the engine is running lean during fuel cut. There is always some mixture left in the intake manifold what will ignite. ign cut will stop this.

The weird thing is, that both the FTS engage and disengage were delayed. Well, either way I´ll see if I can reproduce the original problem in the garage and compare to more recent ROM versions wii normal fuelcut + fuel/ign cut. /Allan

Please test the only thing i can think of that the routine isn't call often enough.. Same as mil shift light routine

I\"m not sure 100% sure, I need to test again on a different car, but I think the rev limiters are off.. ai had it set at 7800 on a car and it kept cutting at like 7600.. it may have been brekaup too, so I need to test on another car first..

Every time I looked at my datalogs, the limiter is working. Let´s not confuse things... I, too have a hunch that the routine isn´t polled often enough. /Allan
