Idle problems due to injector offset

Post by Adam Hopkins »

I am having problems with the air fuel ratio staying constant at idle. i can set it at 14.7 and it will stay there until I put an electrical load on the car and then it goes lean. I have 880cc precision injectors. I have tried several times to change the idle adjustment for the fuel multiplier in the parameters but I am not having much luck. It does change the a/f ratio but I am needing more points closer together for more adjustability. I am wanting to change the voltage heading in the row above the multiplier in the parameters screen but it wont let me. Is there any way to change this because every time I change the header it goes back to the original value. I hope I did a decent job explaining what i am experiencing. if you have any questions just ask and I will answer as best as I can. Thanks, Adam Hopkins

I have played with the offset and i still cant seem to get it right. Thats why I posted. is there any way to change the heading in the battery offset? Not change the offset its selfbut change the actual points in the voltage scale? Or can you even add more points of adjustability, Because i just cant seem to get it right even after playing with it for about 30 min. Thanks again

well.. Did you disable ELD? I never had anybody complain about this. I'll make the bat tables adjustable the next release(the voltage header right) Maybe somebody can jump in that used 880 injectors already

I have spent some more time trying to get it to come out right and it will still change from 14.7 to about 16 between idle with no electrical load and with everything on. Yes I disabled the ELD but i am using a p30 maps instead of the race only. Yes I am talking about the voltage header. I have noticed that a lot of guys are using the race map only. could that be part of the problem? and on a side note i used your output control to activate my water pump for my intercooler and it works great. I was logging 62F degree intake temps with 17 lbs of boost yesterday!!! Yay!!! I am also about to use another output to activate nitrous. thanks so much for your product. P.S. Im not complaining. I am really having a good time using your software over Cr***. Thanks again for your help Calvin. Adam :D

A good long datalog should give you an idea what´s going on. I´m betting this is related to either battery, IAT or ECT compensation... or likely a combination. Oh, the fine details of tuning :D /Allan

I am most certain that it is the battery offset. I am going to try to start a new map and see if that maybe will fix it. O yea the fun of fine tuning! hanks again for your responses and i will post back something when i get it figured out.
