haha its hard on EVERYTHING lol . . . . Fuel cut isn't as bad thought, but ignition cut can get quite violent in the manifold if everythings set just right, but its great for making boost and scaring the racer next to you ;) . .

Ok cool, I just typed in 50 degrees retard because on the first page you said you used on the first page. I understand though, it retards the timing as much as it can. So is it hard on my wideband sensor?
I doubt it would damage the element of the o2; excessive heat will kill it waaaay easier.

If you use ign. cut only and you disable anti-lag... is it distructive enough to damage anything like ex. valves for example? Or does only hurt anything post combustion like the manifold and maybe the o2s and widebands?

ign cut without anti-lag can destroy a non free flow exhaust

my take on the 2step/FTL

Post by JBird20 »

Got to the track today. The settings are at 100fv and 45 degress retard. I sounds really good but it takes a few seconds for the backfiring to occur. At 5500-6000 rpms, it sounds like the motor like bogs down to like 4000 then 3-4 seconds later its comes up to the 5500-6000 and starts to spool the turbo and the backfiring occurs. It almost sounds like a LOUD gurgle then loud popping. Am i doing something wrong cause it doest throw flames just throws smoke and doesnt make more than 5-6 psi

Try 6500 RPM; for ign keep it in the range of 40-55deg retard Use Ign cut only, or try IGN/Fuel cut. for fuel; start ar around 200Fv, and work your way down; you'll probably get the results you desire.

The fcut/ign cut are both global variables in a sense; so they apply to antilag FTS, FTL, redline, Etc. The way they effect antilag is because they change how it slows the engine by removing fuel or IGN... different results.

FYI Ign cut needs les fuel for antilag; cause it's dumping fuel into the cylinders already; you only need a FV of around +9 with DSM450cc injectors =) for a bit, I wanted to try a negative number, but ectune did not like that idea!

Dumb questions, on the launch control settings. What does TPS engage threshold and TPS disengage threshold means or do? I left the 34% and 19% settings alone. My guess is when I press the throttle to engage ftl its at 34% and when the rpms drop its at 19%?

so if you push the pedal past the higher %, FTL starts.. if you release the throttle to be under the lower % it disables FTL and revvs go down (or if that much throttle is enough to rev up the motor more, it will rev higher untill you press the throttle past the higher %. catch that?
