inexpensive accelerometer mod...

Post by JaredKaragen »

At $40, it's well worth it, and can easily be logged; I would imagine attaching it to the bulkhead [firewall] or just inside the ECU; could be usefull. Inexpensive and simple design. Anyone else dig it?

Just how useful it is, really depends on what you want from it - and on the software available to analyze the data. /Allan

Maybe using it on an input for activation of whatever; pretty interesting though, might have to put some type of microcontroller inbetween for auto-level, etc... G-force load sensing maybe.... lots of ideas could come from this one.

There is certantly a lot you could do with a accelerometer, but I think the biggest issue would be the development time needed. Determining the feature set alone to compliment a device such as this would be rather time consuming. That's my .02c...
