Um, I did not see a msdos reg file, just an updater; it did nothing. This is an excerpt from the install directions: Please install the following file “eCtuneSecurityPolicy.msi in the install directory. Or: Try: “.net framework 2.0 configuration util(administrative tools). Then right click “Runtime security Policy -> Reset Then right click “Runtime security Policy -> Trust assembly Then point to the ectune.exe I have no such file to install =/ and there are no framework configuration settings in Vista that I can find ATM, Ill keep searching though. I believe this is what is holding me up; Hopefully Calvin knows a little more about to either do it manually, or if that .msi file mentioned will do the trick (I do not have it). ***Running VISTA***

also, i forgot to mention that i had to update my .net firmware to the new 3.5 version. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en kind of a stupid question; did you extract the entire contents of the new folder to eCtune's directory ? overwritten all of the old files with the new once ?

Yep, I overwrote all the old files, and deleted the settings file in my account file; no big deal there. .net framework 3.5 is installed; I ran the installer from MS, and it asked if I wanted to repair it so I know it's good... But there is no option anywhere to be found for \"configuring framework 2.0\" I will keep looking

Problem solved, Steps needed to install the service: 1) Create a shortcut on your desktop-> for program just type cmd, then next and save the shortcut. 2) Right click the cmd shortcut and click \"Run as Administrator\" 3) Type these commands: 'cd \\Pro' then hit Tab to auto-populate with ' \\\"Program Files\" ' 'cd eCtune' now type the command: regsvr32 mtssdk.ocx It should popup with a successfully loaded checkbox in windows. Now, close all windows, delete the shortcuts, and your good to go. Closed topic.
