i updated to the new r3 version today. went out to mess around with the car and it took forever to even get the program going. i then deleted almost 7gb worth of memory. now it starts up faster and it doesnt take as long to load the map. problem is when i connect to the datalog its jst way to slow to update. i mean, ill disconnect everything, go inside the house and then star getting some updates. lol its that slow. my comp info; win xp, service pack 2 dell inspron 2200 intel pentium m processor 1.70GHz 593MHz, 504 MB of ram. 70GB hard drive with 35GB of free space.

it makes me wonder what virusscan/firewall etc you are using, and what other programs would be running in the background. Try changing the setting in the \"Power options\" control panel to \"Home - Office/Desk\" Not laptop/mobile. This will make the laptop more effitently use the processor and speed up performance some. I have noticed this helps alot on celeron/pentium m processors; especially celerons that do not have speedStep built in. When I launched R3 initially, it did startup a little slower... but restarts did not take nearly as long... but I'm only talkin 10-30 sec. slower on first start of r3.
