Updating the Ostrich firmware is necessary to get the PRO and DIY versions working! Only with this firmware its possible to obtain a licence. Ostrich1 firmware: http://support.moates.net/2008/09/16/firmware-updates/ (the old big one) Ostrich2 firmware: http://support.moates.net/2008/09/16/firmware-updates/ (the new small one)

not sure if i should post in here or not but here i goes. i got the license for eCtune and now im trying to install the firmware and im not having the best of luck with it. -i used the moates updater but its unable to locate the ostrich. -tried to manually enter the location of the firmware into the moates updater but i get a pup us saying \"firmware package not intended for this hardware.\" i have an ostrich 2 with ostrich 2 firmware form this thread. -i also tried to the \"normal\" windows wizard but when manually putting in the location of the firmware it says \"the location you have specified does not contain any device information files.\" im stomped.

no, i had the same problem when i first got ectune, but its been a while since then.

If your USB comms drivers are working properly (PLEASE use the latest version off the FTDI site!) there really is nothing we can do here. It´s a Moates app for a Moates part. I might try using another laptop and see if it makes a difference somehow. /Allan

there isnt any for the ostrich v1 only the newer one will that work with the older ostrich too
