tuner/dealer version question

Post by akira712 »

if i have a p06 converted ecu and i go to a tuner and he tunes with a p72 ecu what should the tuner select for ecu? i ask as crome had an afr issue when a tuner would use his ecu then burn a chip and add it to the customer ecu.

I always tune on the ecu that is going back in the car. This keeps the chance of any differences that you spoke of from happening. Just solder in a header on the cn2 port and there should be no reason why he couldnt use your ecu.

i think the real question is when will your car be on the road?....lol Did you get a boost solenoid for your car? I've been using mine now for a while, it works mint, no need for the avc-r anymore. I'm interested to hear the answer to your question as well, i've seen some funky changes with other programs when going from a RTP to a chip.
