Doubling up on GPO in/outs

Since I will have used up all the in/outs for the GPO and accessories, will it bother anything to have something like the FTL activated by pwr steering switch along with the GPO also activated by pwr steering? If it is OK to do this, is there any limit on the number of accessories activated by one common input?

Yes you can use same input on multiple routines, there is no limit.

Are all the GPO outs (including the radiator fan out) providing a ground when engaged? What do you recommend for a safe maximum current wattage through each channel? Thanks

I always use the ground output from the ecu to trigger a relay, Except the boost controller.

OK well I was successful at activating A15 as a ground out. However, I can't get A20 or A6 to work. A20 shows up as a ground, but it cuts out when I close the circuit to the relay. A6 does nothing. I'm using the radiator fan control to test these for now since it doesn't run at the moment. I just tested the same circuits with A15 and everything works as it is suppose to. So calvin, what do you know about A6 and A20 not functioning? In a little bind here. I need two more functioning outputs. Thanks!

they should be working A6 is o2 heater right? a20 PCS? use a thicker cable from ecu to relay i had this same problem once.

The verdict: A12 (rad fan output) - Will support a 90 ohm load. This one is running two relays. A15 (AC clutch) - will support at least a 130 ohm load A20 (purge) - Will only support a piezo buzzer, roughly 350 ohms A6 (O2 heat) is dead, only get a twitch from a piezo buzzer and turning it on/off doesn't change anything. I suppose some of this could be peculiar to this (P72) ecu?? I really need one more; fuel pump out might work, but hard wiring the pump to the ign switch could result in a firey death. I'll figure something out, thanks Cal

i'll check a6 output again.

maybe this is related to the o2 heater code people have seen before when enabling the stock o2 (like I got my first time using eCtune).

I'm not aware of any o2 heater code problem.

ok... I haven't gotten it for quite a qhile, but I do remember when I first got eCtune (1.2?) i got an o2 heater code; and maybe it's my o2 I will need to try another, but it doesn't seem to heat up; the o2 always gets cold when i'm sitting idling (it's farther from the turbo to keep it from getting overheated, but the heater in it should still keep it up to temp) and stays locked on rich, where my WB02 shows lean which is correct. Don't chalk this as a bug, just thinking aloud about possible relevance ;)

I will tell you this; the other day my o2 was not even plugged in; the heater was turned on; and no CEL.... I thought it was freaky... closeloop was off, but not the heater. I will test again today. I have it unplugged and I finally got off early enough to do some extra work on the car!
