R6 testing

Post by hackish »

I spent a little time last night testing out the latest R6 calvin emailed to us. The IAB invert feature works perfectly. I wasn't able to upgrade to the .41 firmware in the .cal file. I tried the basemap maker to get that base tune then imported a .cal file. If I re-saved that as a .bin then it retained the .41 basemap. There was no way I could get the .cal file to save and load with the proper base map. It would be nice to have a feature to change the bin revision of a map. One other thing... If I removed the computer from the car and plugged in my ostrich I wasn't able to read the map using the burner. The map was obviously valid as the ostrich was just in the computer. I have a feeling it's not reading the correct offset or something. Finally, if you unplugged the ostrich and plugged in the burner without disabling the emulator connection then change a parameter it tries to send the update to the ostrich and the entire program crashes. I haven't had a chance to check the bugs in my monster bug list but I notice the \"g\" feature still isn't working as I expected. -Michael
