searched but still confused about honda ignition timing
hey guys, so I would like to switch to ectune in the near future, but I would like to clarify some things first. So far I have been using crome to tune both of my cars. I was not really concerned about ignition timing until recently when I have read about how little input the tables I program actually have on actual timing. So if I were to take a stock bin file and load it into ectune, what would happen with the timing? It is my understanding that you tell ectune what base ignition timing you are running, and that the ecu adds that to whatever is listed in the ignition vs rpm and pressure table. Basically I am just wondering if someone can tell me definitively how the timing works in ectune vs crome, and if ectune would run timing like stock if I load a stock bin file in it. I have read conflicting things so far, so thanks in advance if anyone has an answer.

ectune will run timming like stock.. Honda has some weird timming corrections by default. If you choose to disable those timing corrections, you can, and this will result in your actual timming reflecting exactly whats in your tables.. Your IAT, ECT, Gear, GPO and other timming corrections will still be added to your final ignition value.
