TPS flatline

Post by SOHCitTOem »

anyone ever have their TPS signal in their datalog display stay at a constant .45v? After my last drive my TPS is doing that. I tried calibrating again but the signal doesn't recognize the opening and closing of the throttle. it just stays at .45v. And there's no check engine aswell.

I had a similar issue recently and found that I had a broken wire about 3\" from the TPS.

Shouldn't it throw a code though? checked it and i mean it's still on the TB itself. maybe i mite try a voltmeter to it's wiring. I'm honestly thinking it's something absolutely simple.

I tried a new TPS and same thing. I checked the red/black wire going into the ecu and there's voltage. It reads the movement of the TPS so I don't think it's a wiring issue. Even the old TPS shows voltage aswell. Could this be something with settings? I don't remember changing the parameters of the TPS ever since I started the .cal file.

go to hardware settings tps sensor... disable recalling... probably you have 0.45 at both boxes

i disabled it and the values state that their .45 to 4.77. I didn't input those values but still the TPS value in the Display still doesn't move. I tried reinstalling eCtune and I'll let you know if it worked or not.

Ok, sorry for such a delayed update. Been really busy with school. All I had to do was re-install eCtune and voila! it starts showing signal.

i think you tried out tps cal and used it wrong. Re-installing ectune won't sudden display proper TPS.
