If the engine was down on compression would it require alot of fuel to get idle right? I'm going to test fuel pressure and compression test engine on weekend. I don't think I have any vac leaks. All new intake gaskets were fitted prior to engine been fitted and it idle's just fine not hunting or hesitating

it doesn't necessarily have to hunt or hesitate to have a vac leak, you might have a vac hose that isnt pushed on all the way, or one has a hole in it,and low compression can act like a lean condition. is the motor fresh? how old is it and what is the mileage? what kind of Honda is it in? here is the fuel pressure specs for a 94 delsol with a b16, it should be the same as yours.

100k miles on engine. Is a 99 b16a2 fitted in a 98 EJ9 civic which had originally a d14a4 engine. Im going to try get the fuel pressure checked on the weekend. Thanks for the pressure figures.

Sorry dude hadn't given any update. Didnt get a chance to check fuel pressure yet been up to my eyes with work. Hopefully this weekend ill get something done. Need to set valve clearances and fit air intake kit. Car is running pretty good as is and pulls really well so I think the block is healthy atleast.

Update. The AFR's may be a little off due to the sensor needing recalibration

yo, whats up vtec6000, better yet whats ur name? im Patrick, anyways. i made some adjustments for you to try, first off i noticed thatyou have no tip in fuel and it shoots a little lean at first tip in so i gave it 10% tip in, second you were a little lean on the top in vtec so i added a bit there, also i smoothed everything out, you dont want your maps being all jagged with dips and valleys, so once you do change your maps around, use the smooth map button to smooth it all out, the engine will reflect it, if your maps are smooth, the drivability will be smooth, also your fuel cut is re-enabled, your afr's look good in columns 1 and 2 so when recovering from decel it should be smooth when getting back into it, and just a suggestion, learn to rev match your decel shifts, its alot easier on your engine and clutch, when you go to drop a gear to decelerate, tap the throttle to match the rev. so there you go, give it a try and let me know how it works out for you.
