Launch control?

Post by Vtec6000 »

Need some guidance on launch control feature, at the moment I have it just set to x rpm but should I be adjusting ignition timing in this area or leave as is? and what about fuelling in this area of the map? Appreciate any help... (motor is NA but id also like to know about setting's for a boosted motor)

This a searchable term... In short: ign/fuel are used for boosted motors and antilag.... Only reason you would want to use them in an n/a sense is to backfire and shoot ricer clouds :/

Be careful on doing that option on boosted application because when you set retarted timing * degress with adding fuel fuel being fired in the exhaust manifold. This shortens the life time of your turbo..but makes fun:D ... never set the value for ignition more than -10 -15 degress and fuel more than %20(on normal usage) but if you are a serious drag racer you can add more...

Watch those pencil size rodded d series engines + anti lag, we just scattered one coming off the anti lag, broke one rod, sent it out the front and back of the block, bent another, all pistons were mint, tune was spot on.

Which ignition values you mean in the launh control window or in the ignition tables? Just leave the stock 0 degrees in the launch control window...
