boost columns

Post by boostedsol »

Is there a way to get more than 14 boost columns?? my tuner and I were trying to figure out how to add more and could no figure this out. We tried to insert columns but nothing happened and we were stuck with 14 still. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I think thats all you can have unless you have it switch to secondary maps, which you can set the entire thing up to 24 more boost columns if you like.

interesting, so inorder for it to switch to the secondary maps i would have to wire some sort of input into the ecu to tell it when to switch correct?

why would you need more columbs? even with a 5 bar 14 boost columbs is plenty..

My tuner would like to see more columns so there are not large holes in the maps where you are jumping from say 10 psi to 15 psi, or is this ok?. Bugermass what would you recomend for Boost column numbers from 0 to say 40 psi?

14 for boost should be enough.

I use 14 columbs for 5 bar. I've had it up to 52PSI before with no issues. You don't need crazy resoultion when in boost since its mostely linear anyways.
