Firmware update killed my ostrich?

Hi I've just purchased eCtune via Xenocron & while updating my ostrich to the latest version it came up with an error which I didn't get chance to read & make a note of. Now the firmware update software can't find my ostrich tho it shows up as a USB to serial device in windows. I got some help from Xenocron asking me to try a tunerpro rt which also can't find the ostrich After searching on here I found Calvin had writen a ostrich reset tool which connects but brings up an error saying it can't find OstrichETC? Is there anything I can do or will the ostrich have to go back to moates? Bill

I emailed moates earlier with the above info so I just hope they have a clever way around the issue as I to get my CRX running asap Bill
