Heres a diagram I made awhile ago for anyone else wanting to do this. I just did this yesterday on the new car. It's making a weird diffrence. On the old oem wiring setup ectune would show my max battery voltage peaking around 13.1 and on average it was around 12.9.After I did this mod using 10 gauge wire right off the battery in the trunk Im now peaking around 14.01 and at average im around 13.90 or so.This is at idle.I also got a bump in fuel pressure of about 7-10psi or so from the gauge thats inline with my fuel rail, before the regulator, but I expected that. Im not complaining or anything since it's a good thing my on the whole car went up, I just don't know why it happend

By doing this, you will (probably as intended) get nice clean power for the ECU and a bit higher voltage as well. HOWEVER! Unless you supply the same, improved power to fuel injectors and possibly also distributor, I believe the voltage correction may not work properly. Injectors would be affected by various devices in the car placing an electrical load on the stock wires - while the ECU only sees the direct battery voltage. Makes sense?

What would the concensus be on seperating the +12V signal from the dummy plug side of an OBDI harness (splits to the injectors/sensors) to be relayed from the battery as well? How many people think this would be of a sizable benefit? I only ask cause injectors were thrown into the loop =D

My mistake, I thought the point of the relay was to supply the ECU directly from battery. I´ll shut up now. :D /Allan
