Using vista, I have found the UAC getting in the way; everytime I want to launch eCtune. I do not wish to disable UAC, but I can not find a way to get the prompts to dissipear; aside from disabling the UAC. This is a secondary prompt, unlike the one when you tr to use the MMC for instance. I hve found a weblink to the code snippetts to have the application automatically gasin it's privlidges through the UAC: http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=209647 Is this implimented in eCtune?

Personal note about my offset issue: I am not sure whats going on. I did as per the Innovate instructions, and I shared the ground with the ECU, also tried tying it to the chassis ground as well; splitting like a + off the ground wire to earth and the WBO2. It stabilized the readings, but I am still getting unsatisfactory readouts IMHO; My offset is still -2.00, but my reading now is stable. I also shunted the power direct from the BATT connection on the underhood fusebox to a relay right next to the WBO2, and to the unit. It seemed to make the values chill out a little more. Next I will resort to hard-wiring the Vout (WBo2 voltage) to the ECU's harness in the cab, insteqd of out to the engine bay on a cut nd soldered o2 sensor plug. (replacing the narrowband) When I would try to calibrate the offset revving at an AFR range, it would be off as if the slope was incorrect... hard to explain, but at different AFR's, it required a different offset..... Using the default JAW profile. I need to try some more tests before I am certain about this. Something that did help straighten out the readings quite a bit was changing the wideband settings to be my linear amount that I used before: 1.00=10.0AFR, and 3.00=30.0AFR; This is acceptable (slight deviation from actual values) in my book because the whole idea behind the unit was to translate the AFR reading into a VOUT profile to be used on a multimeter... (thus 10.12=1.01v, and 20.87=2.09v, closest rounded decimal) I have no clue why the reading stays consistant now, but I will keep digging, because somehow I think it might just be something as simple as a corroded component or wire. Further notes: I will be hooking up the boost control solenoid I have and start installing the PWM circuits to the ECU and get to configuring and prepping fo rthe new setup to be built for further boost tests!

Since my last update I have been doing a lot of street tuning and getting ready for a new build; trying to get my AFR's to an acceptable level so I can feel safe about breaking in my new motor and street tune it from day one. I have also found and sorted a small issue with updating to a new library that eCtune has started using. It required manually installing the file and it was pretty simple once I found the directions on how to install it from the web. I have also been working on different settings and variations of antilag at varying RPM's to note changes needed in either fuel or timing to keep a consistant result. I have received a new version to see if I can get the RPM's to not shelf off, and actually continue a cut and resume status like it did right before the backfire; it's pretty close to a softouch type operation already, but it seems if you try to get a more violent/agressive backfire, it does not want to do it again, and the RPM's seem to shelf off; RPM's maintaining a constant within 20-30RPM's plus or minus. More to be learned, and more to be added. Boost controller and innovate serial stream testing to commense shortly.

Lots of changes to eCtune recently; mostly new features and things being cleaned up. Most recent project was the IIE's (Invalid Input Errors), and they were a daunting task; going through the windows and trying each field one by one, clicking, double clicking, click-dragging, and entering characters/values that are not valid. Almost done with the PArameters window; then onto the other windows/menus, but the PArameters window was used the most tis why I started there. Graph bugs are seeming like a thing of the past now; I haven't been able to reproduce any of the old ones, so this is a good thing; but I still need to play with the graph a little more before I deem it to be fixed. I have finally had a chance to play with closeloop mode. I am personally having issues getting the o2 heater to not throw a code; I need to try a new ECU/sensor before jumping to conclusions. But; nevertheless I enabled it for a short span the other dan and it did indeed work; so I am confused slightly. But here's the results for closeloop: Works as it should; can't see any issues from my means of using it anyways. Here's a snapshot of it in action; the live-tuning graph doesn't grap nearly as nice as when it's done in offline mode; but nevertheless, it is still a pretty sweet feature.
***Logged on the narrowband sensor***
