i was wondering why u didnt add timing on the dyno as well? also is ur head built? if it is, it looks like u can rev that motor higher since the power is not falling off. I'll be tuning a Vitara setup next weekend. its a D16 block with a Y8 head on a Zex cam, graddy log manifold and i think a 57trim turbo. before that car made 250whp on 16psi on a stock bottom end with a greddy 16G turbo. we're look n to make 400hp on this setup. i think the manifolds gonna hold the power back god luck with it on the dyno!

Oh the reason is that I wasn't planning to have it on the dyno, It just happened that the shop just got their dyno in so they gave me a free run to see what it does...I only did 1 run thats it...but I'll be back on the dyno this wednesday to tune it. Boostedk20: The head is completely stock except for a GSR tb port match with the stock intake manifold. please post the .cal if you can when you're done tuning it! thanks btw: exhaust housing is .63 ar Garret t3/t4 57trim .60/.63

i would think you could make more than that...i made 386 at 22psi with the same setup. then made 405 at 25psi. this was on cromepro though..

AFR is pretty rich I keep it around 10.7ish..as far as timing I added timing column by column until the torque starts to drop then I take out some timing. I think the car should be able to make 300whp+ on 20psi, but before I was having some problems that I just fixed, and now the car runs much better so I'll be going back on the dyno for a new tune. I'll update once I get back on the dyno again. GL on your setupcombz wrote:lol yeah i know, but what AFR did you end up going with. Did you still use the retard/per psi, or a step retard or did u adjust further after that.. I'm just wondering as to what AFR i should run , almost identical setup, i'm thinking its going to take me 20psi to see around 280 as well.

i don't think 11.2:1-11.5:1 sounds unreasonable most people run that even at over 400whp. but pump gas may be a bit diff.. you are using 92 octane..i'll be using 91 octane. It just seemed like the car was detonating above 11.0, but that is more then likley because of the timing. Hopefully my tuner (JDRacing) and I can get things figured out enough to make some decent numbers...i would be elated if i saw more than 285 at 18psi. I'd be happy with what you have right now, but getting the most power out of your setup is everyones goal.
