Thanks but I have come to the conclusion that it's not any kind of software issue but a hardware issue. Whatever is loose or failing causes my laptop to freeze and if I push down or lift up the lower left side of the case it will unfreeze itself. Sucks cause the thing is just over a year old and the ex-girlfriend bought an extended warranty from comp usa but when she left, she took it with her.
