How to detect knock for a street tune?

Post by mafdark »

I haven't seen much information about people using knock lights or whatnot. What are people using?

Well, when I get it, I can clearly hear detonation... like someone dropped some nuts and bolts in the cylinders, or a hammer hitting a piston top.... many knock detectors and DIY solutions are available; that's a good search on a forum like honda-tech, d-series.org. forum.pgmfi.org, etc.

I've seen a few of various styles. I was just wondering what the pro's use and like. So you think its obvious enough that you dont use a sensor of any sort?
