1988 honda crx si with 1991 honda crx si engine

I dropped an engine out of a 1991 honda crx si into a 1988 honda crx si and discovered that the distributor plugs will not plug up. How do i get it to work????? Please Help!!!

Use your '88 si distributor.

88 through 91 si distributors are the same so i tried that and it wouldnt work. The plug's on the si distributor are round and the plugs on the wiring harness are square.

If they are the same and you tried that, then there is something else wrong? Or the '88 dist is broken? What happend with the '88 dist?

are you sure you're not trying to plug a MPFI distributor into a DPFI CAR by anychance ?
