Post start map or post start trim

Post by james25 »

Where do I adjust a lean afr after a hot shut down and a hot re-start, post start map or post start trim? I've been fiddlin with both but still notice my car runs lean for a couple of mins after a hot re-start. Right now my settings are Post Start Trim 25% Post Start Map/Post Start Correction -14 40.00 -5 40.00 10 28.00 31 24.00 67 16.00 103 12.00 167 13.00 291 14.00 291 14.00

its probably not your post start settings, those are only applied for a few seconds after the car has started, more than likely your ECT or IAT are getting heat soaked while sitting still and when you start the car back up its correcting too much or not enough.. Try reproducing the issue and look at ECT and IAT before shut down then after restart make note of temps and see if the correction tables are throwing off your fueling..

If you want it better, replace the IAT sensor for a EK4 style sensor in the intake tube instead of the manifold. Works al lot better.
