factory icm bypass

Anyone have a link or anyway to show how to bypass the icm in a b series distributor I'm looking to upgrade my ignition by adding a summit or Mallory box and crane coil and was told to bypass the icm. Thanks in advance

Get a distributor cap with input for an external coil. Take the Ignition Out signal (usually a white wire at the distributor end NOT to be mistaken for one of the wires going to the sensors within the distributor) and feed it to your external ignitor. /Allan
