ostrich firmware

Post by zeeman »

i was wondering, since ii've installed the new OST10190 ostrich firmware on my ostrich to use eCtune, i can not connect to crome anymore, so do i have to install the old firmware back onto my ostrich for it to work with crome again? If so, does anyone have the old firmware they can send me, b/c moates.net doesn't have the download available anymore. Thanks.

you don't need the new firmware, I found this out myself. You need to connect to the ostrich in ECTune, then go to the ostrich info menu and you can release it there. once done you can use CROME. If you wish to switch back, you need to re-authorize your ostrich just like the first time to use it again.

ok, i was gunna say, i found the old ostrich firmware and installed it onto my ostrich and it still didn't work in crome. It connects in the SETTINGS> REAL TIME PROGRAMMING just fine, but it won't \"put\" when using crome, and datalogging won't connect anymore either. So i have to release it in eCtune to be able to use it again in crome....then re-register it in eCtune so i can use it again in eCtune?!?!?!?!?! That sucks!!!! Let the waiting games begin...booo. Thanks for your help man, i appreciate it.

This has been covered in the forums several times(Not trying to be a rude at all, I am not that way, you cant tell my tone of voice over internet). Calvin has said he does not have all day to make new licenses. The only solution I have come to is you may need to purchase another ostrich for tuning others.(correct me if i am wrong) Hope I helped a little.
