Well this one is better. Don't know how it happened but it did lock up again on me. I then restarted the program and got an overflow message but the datalogger never stopped, just clicked the ok button and it never popped up again or locked up. Got to log about 22 minutes of data without issue. The trace is still also white for whatever reason no matter what color I try and change it to.

btw, i think i may have come up with the fix for my limiter problem. I think the TPS is registering a 0% threshold at a positive level thus hitting some sort of fuel cut. Once i can find my multimeter i am going to try adjust it and see if the problem goes away. Weird that it doesnt do it with the laptop connected tho....and i have done the TPS calibration in eCtune.

Hey Cal, you just made my day! full 32:51.810 log without a single glitch. Main relay never clicked, no datalog freeze, full decel going down a steep road with no overflow message or freeze. Tested in New Jersey USA 92*F(33*C) 45% humidity. Very hot outside. Also did a very long idle with air conditioning on full blast without a single glitch. I even got my post startup fixed! before I couldn't do it because the main relay would click like crazy. Test version is logging very good data with no errors. Confirmed.

i think we are getting pretty close to fixing my limiter problem as well. Each update he has given me has slowly been knocking them out and getting less and less. The logger still freezes for me tho. I'm gonna buy some more RAM for this laptop this week and see if that will take some load off the processor and maybe keep it from freezing. it very well could be the computer because even when it freezes, it is still logging information in the background. Say it freezes 3 minutes into the log and i keep recording for 10 minutes. It still records the rest of the 7 minutes of logging. we got a few more tricks which we are going to throw at it to see if they alleviate the issue. I sure hope this works. The engine runs like a bat out of hell with the laptop connected.

Yeah more ram is always a good thing. Whenever I plug my laptop on my car, I disable every feature of my laptop. Pretty much till I have just the clock on the right bottom screen. Also check your power saver option on your laptop. Mine has an option that automatically shuts down the hard drive or screen, hibernate...etc at a given time. I have mine set always on and never hibernate. Did another log this morning with no problems.

ok so my limiter/fuel cut problem is fixed. it isnt near what i thought it was going to be. Ends up the i guess my v1 ostrich was beginning to die and couldnt supply the ecu with what it needed under load when it was not connected to the laptop. This explains why it ran perfect with the laptop connected as it was supplying extra power to the ecu/ostrich so none of the hiccups would be noticeable. We have been talking over email and he said that i may be getting some electronic interference. It dawned on me that the wideband was powered off the ecu and maybe that was causing the interference. put the wideband power to the fuse box and went for a drive. For the first 15 minutes of casual driving, i could not get it to cut fuel except for ONE time where it cut fuel completely and the engine shut off which was extremely weird... So i figured it was something stupid and nothing to do with whatever was going on so i kept goin. Decided to push the motor a little bit. 1st gear went great then 2nd gear felt like i hit a brick wall and i heard all sorts of things that made my heart drop.... started on my way home and it begins going absolute bonkers with the fuel cut. well that wasnt the fix... Calvin had converted my calibration to a bin so i could burn it onto a chip thus eliminating the ostrich. Crank her up and drove around with no bugs/hesitations/backfires/misfires...nothing. two step worked perfect and i could shift cleanly into each gear in WOT and partial throttle. i'm just glad this fiasco is over....now i am just hoping the craig will replace my ostrich for free...i hope i hope.

i retract my previous statement. This has got to be IAT related being that my IAT temperatures log as freezing temperatures. it irritates me that i could drive the car around for an hour without a single hiccup with the sun up, then the sun goes down and it completely flips out. Thats gotta be the IAT sensor being that it compensates based on load and i get fuel cut at random load and rpm points. I'm beginning to run out of options. Why didn't these same things happen with crome?...actually, i can prolly answer that myself...they prolly dont work as they should, lol. i'm really about to go insane. I was soooo happy.. :(

That's what I was going to answer :D Just get a working IAT and things should be good for you.
